Odometer service

Post by MikeT »

At key-on before starting, the LCD odometer shows the car is due a service (0 miles). I understand it can be reset but to what, exactly? And how is it reset, I think I recall someone mentioning, holding down the reset button, turning on ignition and wait for a fanfare or some other indication it's happened?

Press and hold the trip button then turn on the ignition, hold the trip button down for 10 seconds and the service indicator will reset to whatever the service interval is.

I was surprised to find that the handbook tells you how to reset the service indicator.

That's odd, I didn't read that bit. It described how to use and reset the two trip counters though I haven't read the handbook page to page yet. It tends to fall apart with each use.
