Gregg, I don't think the last 4 barcode numbers are the actual code, they are the numbers required by the decoder software which then calculates the correct code from it otherwise it's not exactly a secure security code is it?

so I made a note of all the numbers I could see - last one I tried was calculated from the serial number - which didn't work, even reversed. I've got two more guesses before I give up and go back to the dealers but they require I produce the logbook and that's in the hands of the previous owners or DVLA if it was sent off.
jeremy Do you mean the fuses that are listed as "shunt"? in the car's handbook? That may be one way to overcome this issue but it doesn't tally with what the audio handbook says - i.e. It will turn itself off after 1 hour if the key isn't used. Besides, there is no information about which shunt to change.
