zx rear wheel bearing!!
the o/s rear wheel bearing has gone,but how do I get the drum off to fix it? I am new to Citroen ownership, all my past cars have had a split pin and a nut, but this is new to me,whats the answer,are there special tools needed?.Cheers Frank
You need the new wheel bearing and a nuw hub nut...plus a socket for the nut on a long bar. To properly do up the nut a torque wrench will be needed.
At least you don't have to fiddle about and adjust the wheel bearing afterwards like the other type you mention.
While you're in there carefully peel back the dust rubbers on the wheel cylinders looking for signs of fluid leakage. About 30% of the ZXs in middle age I see are just starting this.
