Xsara Picasso Poss Injector Pump ?

Hello all,

Friend of mine has a 2002 Picasso. Parked up one night and all was well but wouldnt start the next day. The lift pump is working and there is diesel pumping into the injector pump. There is nothing squirting out of the fuel pipe outlet to the common rail so it looks like its the injector pump.

Just in the process of checking the cambelt now.

On a non- common rail engine you can feel the compressions on the injector pump as you turn it to establish that the shaft hasnt snapped. Is this the same on the common rail pump ?

Any suggestions about any thing else to try ?

Have you checked ALL the fuses ? how about the white connector on the HP pump ? there should be resistance when you turn the pump.
