I have a Xsara 2002 HDI. The window opens fine on the button. When I press the button to send it back up again, it only goes up around an inch, almost as though it's sensing something in the way.
Anyone got any ideas?

If it doesn't automatically go back down to the bottom then it might not be sensing something in the way and might have just lost it's marbles. (technical term )Anyone got any ideas?
There is a procedure for resetting the window position, but I forget the exact details. Try disconnecting the battery for a while, then send the window fully down then up. If that doesn't work try up then down.
I had the same problem once and found the answer somewhere on the net. I do remember having to coax it up an inch at a time with the button before sending it all the way down. ( or was it down then up )
