To check for 110:

1. The gear lever is sort of wonky! It leans over to the passenger side of the car when in neutral.

2. Open bonnet and have a look at the air pipes - 110's have a second air pipe running alongside the air box.

110s go like stink on the open road....

Hi, it looks like a HDI 90, not the 110
Runs smooth enough but it doesnt seem the get that surge when the turbo comes in like it does on the 1.9 td.
I have to replace the rear spheres, not a hard job though.......

Ahh, and there was me thinking only my Activa did that :D Must be a quirk of the MK2 cable change. My MK1 2.1 with the same gearbox but a different cable set-up does not do it, the gearstick is perfectly centred :?

Another easy way to tell if it's a 90 Paul is by the gearbox. 90s have the BE3 with rod linkage change whereas the 110 has the cable-change ML5.

Sadly, it seems only the 1.9TD has that "coming on boost" feeling :(

Hi, it's a 90bhp model. Seems slow though compared to my old 1.9td :?
Sounds quieter though

Don't be fooled Paul, it's just a deceptive feeling, the same is said of the 2.1TD as well. The deception is continued by the quietness of it :D

As the song (nearly) goes 'it's just an illusion'.... on the other hand the fuel consumption is something else.
