Camber on a V plate 1.9TD

Post by KP »

Any idea what would cause my camber to be out on the drivers side by the amounts below at all anyone?

The guys that tracked my car said that it could be bushes but to take it to citroen to be checked out. Is it worth even trying to find out whats causing it to be out at all??

I take it you're talking front wheel camber ?
Any good indie could do a control arm bushing job. No need consulting Citroen.

Other points that influence camber on front :
1) Worn swivel joint.
2) Ride height setting at normal drive heigth. Rule of thumb : driveaxles to be precisely level at normal ride height. This takes any uncertainty of the actual correct height measurement as this will vary widely according to tyre fitment/condition
3) Upper suspension strut mount.

Yeah anders its the front drivers side that seems to be the worst wheel :(

Ill have to look into the new bits of ruber when i have the spare cash to see what is causing it :)

It seems very straight to be honest with no real issues now the tracking has been done. ill give it another try in a few hours but im sure its fine and tyre wear was quite even on the front tyres so far :)
