A Nice Surprise: An Easy Job!!!

I set about a job on my 2.1TD Xantia today that I thought would be a right $£&$*

It turned out to be deceptively simple

The job: Replacing handbrake cables. It seemed so easy

Perhaps I've just been spending too much time recently doing really difficult jobs on my Activa

Even the front height corrector looks a doddle on a conventional Xantia...

I did say I didn't think it was all that hard

It was so easy I did mine twice

I had to do one side twice as well. Mis-routed the cable first time

I only noticed when going to refit the heat shield that the cable was rubbing on the side of the exhaust down-pipe

I also got showered in LHM when I accidentially knocked off the triangular connector on some leakage returns
