I think that you will find that the official time is 100'000 miles.

Personaly, I would not leave any cambelt on any car longer than 50'000.

You can bet your last quid that if it broke at 90,000 Citroen would poo poo any warranty talk, even if it is still below the reccomended miles.

Best to err on the side of safety, but thats just my humble opinion, others may differ!!

I agree may be 100k by the book but i always get the cambelt done on any car i buy just to be on the safe side.My brotherinlaw bought a mazda with a cambelt fitted 12k before he bought it after two weeks it broke,Cost him 2k to repair it.Although i have to say it costs me very little my daughters partner is a mechanic he does my repairs for cost of parts only.Works both ways i'm a builder and have put about 30k on the value of there house for next to nothing.

OK I'm ready to change the Cambelt on the Hdi.

Having changed the belt on the 1.9td several times, is there any difference with the tooling required and the locating of the crank and cam TDC with pegs etc.

Is the bolt size on the crank of the same size as the 1.9td or do I have to get a new socket.??

Thanks
