OK - the front tyres on my Activa are new (budget) - the rear ones are ever so slightly, errm, crap (though still legal). Can anyone point me towards a good deal? Holburn in Norwich have quoted me £87 for a pair of budget tyres and about £120 for a pair of Goodyears. These prices include fitting, balance, valve, disposal etc.

Best deal on tyres?

Although I've never done it, tyres can be purchased quite cheaply on the internet. Check with your local garage how much the fitting and balancing is. If reasonable, you might consider something like this or this.
I wouldn't have budget tyres on my ZX, never mind an Activa!

I've used mytyres.net for years, i looked on there yesterday as i only need the one tyre for my activa wheels and they have a huge range of 205/60 15's, may go for Kumho at around 32 quid each as they are a good tyre in my experience.

Ive used blackcircles for my tyres and for every tyre you order you get some credit back into your tyre bank so i order one tyre at a time as it saves about 10% of each tyre.
Fitted i have got a Michelin E3A 205/60/15 H for £63.83 which isnt bad i dont think but that was with an £8 discount. If you want a 5% discount use this link here http://www.blackcircles.com/order?_cmde ... WM00159619

I've used Blackcircles once before and found them to be very good. They often have deals on the go but never for the sizes that I want. The biggest plus IMO is that you get to choose the tyres that you want rather than what happens to be on the shelf at the time which is what happens with your local quick-fit joint.
Saying that, my last purchase of Pirelli P6000's from a independant garage out in the sticks was cheaper than any / every internet price I could find. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Had the same tyres on my montego, didnt last 25k though, only about 10k! But good whilst they lasted.elma wrote:I buy mine off ebay.
I use barum 195/50r15
They cost about £25 each delivered and I fit them myself.
They are very good for a budget tyre, they are fairy quiet, offer excellent grip especially in the wet and last me about 25k a pair.
They are the budget continentel tyres.
