Hinge pins

Post by Bren »

Just changed the oil and coolant on my Xantia, making the most of the good weather, and generally giving the car a good once over.I have noticed the drivers door has dropped slightly, just enough to touch the rear door when it closesAre they difficult to replace?

Hmm, not good news for you I'm afraid. Estates weren't actually built by Citroen but by a company called Heuliez. Unfortunately they weren't very good at welding the door hinges to the scuttle with the result that the hinge breaks away and the door falls off, so get it sorted soon before you look like part of a 'Laurel and Hardy' sketch :P .

Seriously do a search on here and you'll see this fault mentined several times.
