ZX exterior comparison

Post by deian »

Hi all,

What about the front of a ZX looks different on a later ZX compared to the earlier one? I do prefer the later ones, but I'm not going to sell mine just to get a later one, this one I have I'm bonding with nicely, so I may fit later body parts on mine, advice would be great.

Thanks, again.

You can't see it when you're driving it can you - so why bother. We have a later one but to be honest I prefer the early style without that silly grill.

But, but... true.

So it's only the gay grill?

Yes, just the grill. A highly efficient redesign to flood the intercooler with air... OK, maybe not.

I've owned both, and like Jeremy says, you can't see it when you're driving. But personally, I like the later one (now!).

Just a bonnet/grille replacement is needed to get the later style.

Personally I think the ph1 (dropnose) looks pretty dated now, especially when parked next to a clean ph2.

Have had both and got to admit that the new one I have looks the same apart from the little grill.

I suppose I'd have to change over the bumpers too, mine are grey!

I hand painted the bumpers on my last ZX, and intend to do the same with this one. I used a matt black and touched it up now and then to keep it looking nice.. :D

I prefer the front slot on the early ZX personaly. Oddly enough the Honda is very similar in as much as it has a slot, not a grill.. :)
