round box in my zx??

What is that round box located near the gearbox at the bottom of the engine bay? It has clips securing a lid on the bottom. It's not the air filter is it?

Errm, could be. Early Xsara 1.9 t diesels certainly had an air filter that was accessed from under the car like that.

You could be right, it seems in that kind of place, i was wondering because it seems big to be a charcoal canister, i didn't notice what size the pipes were and where they went to/from.

if you follow the air intake duckting from the induction manifold you should be able to locate the air filter, and this could well be it
