Wires with no home

Unread post by Gregg1100 »

Hi All,
Don't all faint. I have actually got the gearbox back in car - apart from the reason for this post, all back together.
Can anyone with a 16v Xant 2litre identify the 3 yellow wires hanging from just under the thermostat housing. ?? Obviously go to a fixing point somewhere around there---Are they earthng wires? I haven't put battery on yet as I didn't want the possibility of blowing something up.

Hi Greg.

Aren't these the earths that bolt onto the front right face of the engine
block just below the cylinder heads joint for the HG? One 10mm bolt?

Just looked at mine Gregg. The only difference is I have one thick wire bolted to the cylinder head in the position Andrew mentions.

Anything yellow and ending in a ring terminal will be an earth on a Citroen.
