.......Floating Xantia.......

Post by ACTIVE8 »

As Ford have been advertising their new Mondeo, they have been showing the advert where the cars float away, a lot. So, as I have ended up seeing it a few times, because of that I thought I would try, and work out what cars were in it.

If you look at the advert as shown on this link:-

Now if you go to the point where it has played for 1 minute 2 seconds, it looks like they have put an Ital front end on a Sierra.

There is also a yellow 205 in it at 13 seconds.

Although it is harder to see clearly if you look at the point where it has played for 44 seconds, it would appear that they have included an Xantia in it, which is seen from the side as it floats out of a multi storey car park several floors up.

Take a look see if you can identify the other makes they have used, and disguised.

If you watch the 'making of' clip on youtube you can see them stripping out the Xantia, and a grey 'Scrote getting a nose job

I thought that all the cars were made up from carbon fibre as 30 helium balloons wont lift a 205

I must say that the large green one (I cant see what Ford its supose to resemble) did remind me of a C5 (if you watch the making of its on that). Its obvious that all the cars are supose to resemble old Fords - even if they dont want to say it directly.

I could see MK1 Fiesta (yellow & blue), Mk2 Granada Estste (white), MK2 Sierras(champaigne & blue), Mk1 Maverick 4X4 (silver), Mk 5 Escort (silver) - the one that resembles a Xantia in the film, Mk5 Fiesta (red) & a Mk1 Focus (green)
