1996 Renault Megane 1.6RT
The following problem has just started in the last few days:
After running for about 20 minutes, or 7 miles, the car starts to "stutter" and is completely down on power.
If left overnight, it recovers, but then the fault re-occurs after a similar time/distance.
The pipe to the MAP sensor was replaced last year when that split, and I've removed and cleaned the TDC sensor.
It sounds like it's temperature related so would it be worth changing either the coolant temp, or air temp sensors, or is this a job for the Renault diagnostic computer?
Megane loses power.

hi, the problem you have described could it possibly be the coil pack or packs breaking down and causing you to lose spark and therefore lose power and get a juddering. i had a coil pack go on my 1.6 e rt and had a similar kind of thing happen to the car. lack of power and a judder. the coils tend to play up once the car has got warm, does it start ok after a drive when the engine is warm
. the TDC sensor could also be knackered and cleaning would not make a difference.
