C5 Pump?

C5 Pump?

I have 2.2 Hdi C5 and sometimes when I stop the car and switch off I can hear what sounds like a pump running in the back of the car.
Any ideas what it might be?

Maybe the lift pump in the fuel tank

I think it alters the ride height when you switch the engine off, could it be that?

the suspension pump is under the bonnet behind the o/s headlamp.
At the rear of the car it can only really be the low pressure fuel pump or (being a 2.2) the fuel additive injector pump.
