My car is a 1.9td xsara exclusive 1998. if someone has got a diagram that would be great. I went threw the wireing diagram on my haynes manaual and couldnt make head nor tale of it. All help very welcomed. many thanks in advance. jamie

If you cant read the diagram - what use would it be with still another one
You just need a location to find and replace that dodgy sensor.
The sensor would be a cylindric plastic thingy with a 2lead cable (maybe a cablesheath as a third connection) fixed with yet some other plastic fittings - to point onto the flywheel gear. Surprisingly simple, as it is a simple device itself : a small wirewound inductor pickup coil.
On the earlier XUD engine variants it used to be located just behind the cylinder head in the clutch house casting. A rather akward place not easy to access.
The sensor would be some £20-£30 from your dealer.
