Ever since the head gasket has been replaced (about three weeks ago) my ZX has suffered from a very intermitent ignition problem. I travel over 100 miles per day and most days it runs fine without missing a beat. However over the past week it has broken down six times.
When it cuts out out the engine does not mis-fire, it just stops. Try re-starting it and sometimes it fires straight up, other times Give it a minute or two and it will fire up as if nothing has happened on other occasions the engine judders as if the ignition has been turned of for a split second but because its driving it restarts. There is no mis-firing indicating any fuel starvation.
Any ideas???... my repair bills are starting to become expensive...I'm begining to think I should have bought a diesel!!!
