ECU fault code 22

Unread post by MikeT »

Does anyone know what code "22 - Security Relay" indicates? I know my alarm is self-triggering after several minutes of me setting it so there is obviously a fault. Thanks

Try the following website it basically deals with Peugeot, but since the engines are cousins - if not more closely related , it may be a help. http://www.pikit.co.uk/peugeotmt/eobd%20p%20codes.html

jmd, that's a very informative site, thanks! However, since speaking to the mechanic that pulled that code from my car, I've learnt it's not a "P" code, but he thinks it came from my ABS ECU, he couldn't remember. I thought it may have come from my alarm ECU as it clearly stated the fault code is related to a "Security Relay". :?

http://www.pikit.co.uk/peugeotmt/psa%20 ... codes.html says these are the PSA EOBD codes from Peugot/Citroen so I don't see why a particular model should be excluded

Mike -
Thats not the question.
I was wondering if the system with these codes were incorporated - at all - in a '98 diesel car.
I donno from which build year the EOBD codes were incorporated, but its certainly close around buildyear 1998 on.
To my knowledge the EOBD codes are valid for multiplexed cars only.

I think that Multiplexing was first introduced on the C5. (or perhaps on the first HDIs) I'm not very familar with Codes-just thought that the site might be useful to MikeT and other members.

AndersDK, sorry, I didn't mean to imply anything, I assumed my Xantia (or any cars that use ECU's) would be using such codes as listed. My mistake.
