activa wont rev past 2500 rpm!!!!

my activa wont go past 2500 rpm just as the boost starts the car jerks violently if i drive it below this rev range its fine its a 2.0 8 valve petrol turbo has anyone suffered this problem any ideas the car has full history and 42000 miles HELP!!!!!!!!

is the engine management light on ? is sounds like its gone into downgraded 'get you home' mode.this can be caused by lots of things but a good possibility is an air leak on the intake system.can you hear any unusual hissing sounds when you rev it ? check all the pipes are on correct especially at the turbo.

will check pipes no lights on the dash at all but i did notice a sound like sucking air when i lifted the bonnet will let you know what i find
