ZX central locking
My ZX has a strange intermittent problem. When driving along the central locking gizmos in all doors keep clicking of their own accord. Is this a poltergeist or is this a common fault? Anyone out there know how to rectify it?

Yes I have had that happen to my ZX, it ket firing the opening pulse for the central locking, never found out where the cause actualy was.
I went over the wiring looking for bad connections didn't see any that looked bad, but when it was all back together the thing never did it again, so I must have come accross the bad connection without knowing, and messing with it made it good again.

I have had this problem too. Not necessarily while driving but when I closed the and opened the door. Obviously a little easier to pinpoint. The wire in the loom where the hinges are was starting to break. You may want to give them a gentle tug to see if it replicates the problem. It is an area that gets wear. It may also be the connector on the actuator inside the door. If the joint is a bit "iffy" it could be activating it. I would check drivers side first. You will need to remove the door trim (torx type screws in arm rest on mine and clips holding trim to door) to get access and reach round under the lock. There are two set of wires, one for the actuator and the other for the door open warning light if you have one. When you disconnect and reconnect the actuator it will click the locking system if battery still connected. Give the connection a clean. Like Dave says above, it is sometimes a matter of luck but those are the places I would start with.
