Xantia HDI 110 Cat replacement

Post by bernie »

I've got a slight leak from my front exhaust pipe which includes the 'cat'.
Has anyone successfully replaced the cat pipe with a non cat pipe?
Which model front pipe did you use?
3 Fiat 124 Sport 1969x2, 1968
2 Fiat 124 Spider 1976, 1971
1 Fiat 20VT Coupe Plus
BUT maybe moving to France

I fitted a repair pipe to a 406 last year, it started just behind the cat, the original pipe was cut off to length and the replacement clamped on, I belive the part cost around £25 from my local factor. Do you need to keep the cat?
