fitting new coolant fans to 306

Unread post by scfc_151 »

ive just been told by my auto spark that the coolant fans are kaput so im going to attempt this myself i think

Its a 2001 facelift model with aircon so any tips on fitting appreciated

the only problem i have is that the multiplug is completley stuck on

As i said it has aircon and had a new condenser fitted BUT the rest of the repairs are too expensive to fix! would it be possible to remove the condenser as its not needed or would this affect the fan fitting?

I know someone who needs a condenser and would probably cover the cost of the new fans (second hand ones)....just a thought

cheers

Not sure about the 306, but going by the Xantia, removing the fans is much easier if the condenser is out of the way:

The fan motors can also be repaired:
