I have year 2000 synergie, hdi. How do I set the tension in the auxiliary belt.

Welcome to the forum!

I don't know the Synergie but I would have thought the belt would be self-tensioning via the conventional spring-loaded tensioner arrangement, hence the tension should set automatically.

Why do you ask? If you are trying to either remove or fit a belt, the tension is usually released by putting a 3/8" square drive into the hole for the purpose on the tensioner frame and leaning on it hard to compress down the spring whilst you slip the belt on or off.

Would that be the 1.9td you are speaking about. On the HDi with air conditioning there are two wheels.

The belt keeps slipping off the top pulley.
