I have year 2000 synergie, hdi. How do I set the tension in the auxiliary belt.

I don't know the Synergie but I would have thought the belt would be self-tensioning via the conventional spring-loaded tensioner arrangement, hence the tension should set automatically.
Why do you ask? If you are trying to either remove or fit a belt, the tension is usually released by putting a 3/8" square drive into the hole for the purpose on the tensioner frame and leaning on it hard to compress down the spring whilst you slip the belt on or off.
