Xantia: Removing radio

Unread post by deian »

Hullo agen,

How do I remove the radio on a later Xantia? I need to do it to retrieve the radio code written on the top. Silly place to put it really. I can then reset the ECU, auto ECU and be happy that everything will work next time should I need to disconnect the battery again.

Plus someone mentioned in another post that you need to disconnect the battery for 30 mins to the ECU, then stamp on throttle 4 times then start the car to run the car on superunleaded.

Thank you muchos.

Easy!!!

Pull out the ashtray part-way, carefully prise off the radio surround bottom to top and gently work it off around the heater controls after removing the two screws that secure the surround at the bottom and then you'll find the radio is held in with two torx screws. It will then pull out.

I keep thinking it is harder than that but no, that is all there is to it :)
