Hi, changing the crankshaft Pulley on my mates 806 HDi on Tuesday / Wednesday, replacing cambelt, aux belt and full service minus heater plugs........service I'm cool with, just wondering if there are any common probs people come across when doin this job? thx

crank pulley bolt can be a pig to get out depends on how much loctite they have used, we use a tap and clean out the threads of old loctite as sometimes when new bolt wound in it stops tight on the loctite before it actually clamps the pulley up tight.also fit new bolt and clean off loctite supplied on new bolt then use a liquid version sparingly.seen a few where we have had to get the gas and warm up the bolt if its really tight be carfefull it may snap...
EP6T petrol turbo nice engine in the 207 GT and the new mini....

Cheers for that, if that's all I have to worry about then I'm pleased!!! LOL Are there any holes in the cam pulley allowing me to lock it in TDC position? nevr had anything to do with these HDi lumps...many thx...
