Hi,
The Speedo on my Megan is jumping all over the place, sometimes it doesn’t work at all, if it turns out to be the Speedo its self will the mileage change if I put a different one in.
Regards
Paul

Unless the Megane is known to have dodgy speedo heads, I'd say its the standard problem with dirty/bad contacts on the axle transmitter unit. Also the cable could for any reason be damaged.
You will find the cable/sender unit on a protruding lump on the differential unit directly above one of the driveaxles where they enters the differential unit.
On Peugeots & Citroens its located over the RHS driveaxle. Renaults may do it entirely different.
Last possibility is of course a connection problem inside the instrument cluster.
