C5 Instruments

Post by bbrucez »

On cold/damp mornings, sometimes all my instruments read zero.
If I switch off and restart, usually some or all of them work again. I have to keep doing this untill all of them work.
This is becoming a pain and seems to be getting worse. Are there some contacts that need cleaning?
Cheers,
Bruce

It sounds like a loose multiplug on the back of the instrument display.
You could try removing it and checking the connections. I think that's what I'd try first.

Thanks Kev,
It's OK ATM but I'll check that out.
Is it easy to remove?

very easy to remove. if you look at the bottom of the panel you will see 2 dots. slide a couple of plastic levers under the panel at the dots & carefully & evenly lever the panel out. it just pops out & pushes back in.
