Juddery clutch on take-off.

Post by DanDare »

I get a harsh judder when pulling away, the severity of which depends on exactly how many revs are used.

Might this be down to the friction plate ? I'm guessing short of changing the clutch i'm stuck with it ??

Begining to wish i hadn't replaced my Cav TD for this car !!

What car is this? I had a water leak once that squirted right down the inspection hole onto the clutch, cured the leak, cured the judder.

Start by having a good look at the engine/gearbox mounts - especially the one at the back of the engine underneath. (Kneel down by the drivers door with the engine running for this one)
