C5 Windscreen Washer Playing Up

My front windscreen washer fluid ran out over the weekend on my C5.
I have now filled it up but when I pull back on the stalk I am getting water out of the rear jets but nothing out of the front..........

How can this be..............?

Try disconnecting your battery for about 30 mins, reconnect and reset the message display unit eg. Language, date, time, MPH etc. wait for about 5mins before trying to restart. This has the effect of resetting one of the computers, and all should be fine. This seems to be a common problem, when you run the windscreen tank dry.

I was going to go for the "normal" answer that the washer pump has burnt out due to no fluid (either the motor overheats in about 10 seconds, or the impellor melts)...but you never know with these more modern cars!

Thanks for the replies guys but I just disconnected the tube from where it joins under the bonnet, gave it a quick blow and bobs your uncle.
Have a feeling I may have got an airlock or similar as i let it run right out.
