C5 Drivers Window

Post by jmd »

On raising the Drivers Window. It closes fully, and then opens about quarter ways. This is when using either the interior window switch, or the keyfob. If the switch is used in small darts it is possible to close it fully (maybe). I have used Silicone Lubricant on the switches, but this doesn't seem to have cured the problem. All other switches are fine. Can anybody offer any advice.[/b]

Have had this problem myself on odd occaions. If it is persistent and has not rectified itself after the ignition has been switched off, say overnight. Then I found, and I think I am correct in saying that a lot of electrical faults are rectified by disconnecting the battery for a period of time, 30 minutes minimum I believe. I understand the computer/s will reset themselves during this time.

Best of luck

Many thanks C5IAM. The car was switched off overnight, and didn't solve the problem. However on your advice I disconnected the battery for a period of 45 minutes and the problem is solved....thanks again.
