SILVER BUMBER STRIP XANTIA 96 TD.

Post by jmd »

Can anybody advise on the replacement of the above strip, which has become unsightly as a result of many minor bumps over the years. Is this material sold separately to the bumper. Or can it be purchased at all. If so from who?, and is it held on by adhesive, or by clips. I would be grateful for any advice.

No point going mad paying that kind of money...

I re-did the silver strips on my ZX bumpers with a 10 quid roll from Aldi. They look perfect, and I even have enough left over to do the Xantia some day.

Keep an eye out the next time they have a car accessories special.

The originals were glued on the ZX, so I'd assume they glued on the Xantia too. The hardest bit is getting started prising them off. At this time you'd probably need to heat the strip up with a hairdryer or something like that to loosen the glue.
