I have a Xantia which has a paint code ERYCR
I went yesterday to buy some alloys from a Xantia which is being scrapped, and it looks the same colour as mine, although it is parked in the dull back of a workshop.
The paint code on it is ESYCR.
I was interested in the wings, drivers door, bonnet and front grill, but was wondering how much of a difference there is likely to be between the two, as I have no idea how these codes work?
Thanks in advance,
Lee.

Don't do it LEE! - you'll be wasting your time and money - it'll be the wrong
colour for your car. The paint colour IS very different.!!
This has been a particular "specialist subject" for me for the last year as
I've been looking for ESYCR panelwork which is a kind of DARK "forest"
green colour and it has been impossible to find. The more widely popular
green seen throughout the life of the Xantia is the the ERYCR which is a
yellower lighter 'mallard green".
The CR part of the code signifies a saloon - the MR is found on estates
although in practice I've swapped between estates and saloons where the
first part of the code matches and the panels have worked out OK.
Where is this yard as it actually sounds like it's got what I need!! There
will be a 90% chance ANY green you see out there or on ebay will be your
green however!

It's not actually a yard, it's a garage / workshop in Heywood, Lancashire. He bought the car 15 months ago to repair, but lost interest as he does mostly classic car work.
That said, with the exception of the NSR door, most of the other bodywork is good.
It's a saloon, on an M plate.
