Headlights not working 406 2.0 HDI

Post by ciaran15 »

I recently changed the offside headlight bulb, now both headlights are not working, no problem with any other lights.

I can still get full beam.

Any thoughts on the cause?

My guess you have blown a fuse - or messed up the dip beam lights cable somewhere. Not hard to do on modern cars.

I had to change a headlight bulb on mine a few weeks ago.Afterwards for some reason,it did`nt work. The fuse had blown for it.Located in the underbonnet fuse box.Small type blade fuse. The fuse was ok before i changed the bulb,so i dont know what happend to it. :)

For some obscure reason it turns out that both bulbs blew at the same time, I have been told that some dirt may have gotten into the cable when I replaced the bulb previously.
I have now replaced both bulbs and they are both working again.

Thanks for the replies.
