206 power steerig fluid

Post by lawns »

Hi all,
I am trying to find a retail supplier of Total fluide AT42 to top up my power steering as per peugeot recommended lubricants. My local Total filling stations and Peugeot dealer do not stock it ! an anyone help?
My dealer say they use Motaquip ATF type D11 but from what I can find out this is not the same spec as AT42.
Regards,
lawns.

Motaquip is part of the PSA Peugeot / Citroen group so I can see why the dealer said they use Motaquip.

If a Peugeot dealer says its the correct fluid for the application then I would go with it

Why does it need topping up in the first place? PAS fluid should never need topping unless theres a leak.

AT42 is Dextron III specification. Do not mix this with D II. The III fluid is synthetic, and II is mineral.

Dextron III can be bought in most car stores.
