Hi thanks for your help with all my other probs, this ones not so easy for me to explain???
I have a leak on the top of my hydraulic pumb, when I looked at it closely it is leaking from where the thick rubber pipe enters at the top pof the pump, I loosened the jubilee clip and removed rubber pipe only to find that the metal pipe protruding from pump ( the piece rubber fioits onto) was loose and came off. I fixed it back in position with some Pladstic pading leak seal and it stopped for a while, however it is now leakink again, Is my pump Knackered or is it repairable Any help appreciated

I would 'carefully' (remember that word now) try to spread the end of the pipe by a couple of thousands of an inch (gnats whisker) just enough so that it had to be tapped back in. Prior to refitting, I would clean the pipe & where it fits with petrol and lightly sand and wipe with a petrol rag again just to be sure as well as the area surrounding where it fitted into the pump.
Before starting totally depressurise the system including loosening one turn the 12mm bleed screw on the accumulator and have a jack under the car on the pump side of the car just to keep any weight off and that side a bit higher.
Use Devcon (or similar) 2 part epoxy giving the lower part of the pipe a light coat; tap into pump and coat where the pipe goes into the pump as well as an area around it on the top of the pump. Leave for 24 hours until set properly & reconnect the intake pipe. Done right, it should last the rest of the cars life I'd reckon.

Thanks Guys
I can not leave car for 24hrs just now so I have removed pipe cleaned around area and sealed it in place with hermatite instant gasket.
It seems to have worked for now, However when I get time and a day off from using car I will take alans advice and do it propery with some proper glue.
Thanks again
