Post by lolingram »

Anyone know if the old silentlblocs need a press to remove them from the wishbones?

Cheers

You can remove them without a press by sawing through from the centre to the outside to cut the outer steel ring and relieve the tension on it. Some grease on the hacksaw blade as it goes through the rubber bit helps.

They will then drive out quite easily unless completely rusted in.

The best lubricant for rubber is ..... water!

i usualy just drift them out with an impact socket, then use my old fix or rust daily(f**d) void bush tool to refit them, also the bush with the flandge just raise the edge all the way around with a small cole chissel so it will pass through the eye in the arm
