Part number needed

Post by deian »

Hi guys,

I've been on Citroen-pr.net but I still can't find the part I'm after. So can anyone else have a look for me? Much appreciated, it's:

The auto tensioning pulley for the auxilary belt, after 200k miles it is bound to need replacing, it's squeeks like hell at the moment so i think it's time to change it along with the belt.

The GSF catalogue has the relevant part numbers in it, to fully recon the tensioner you need th pulley and its pivoting mounting and the spring assembly which fits behind the HP and fuel pumps, the catalogue does mention supplying the parts together.

Sorry stewart, I'm non the wiser. I am looking for an automatic tensioner pully for the auxilary belt for a 1998 2.1td WITH Aircon, I can't see it in GSF! I see ribbed belt.

Look carefully on the schematic submitted below. This is for a 4-point fixing alternator.
If your Xantia setup does not look like the schematic - then the parts list submitted below CAN NOT be used.
Otherwise the parts list and schematic is valid for all series II Xantia XUD variants with A/C.

I think you may have found it Anders, not 100 sure but the roller looks about the same size and t is close to the alternator, you are a credit to the forum, imagine how long it would have taken me to find that... forever!

Now what do i need altogether? a new belt obviously, i think items 7, 3 and 5?

It's a VERY tight squeeze between the pulleys/belt/engine and the side of the chassis, i reckon 15mm! Maybe if i work from the bottom with the wheel and plastic guard off it'd be easier. I will probably post about the job at a later date.

Thanks Anders, nice try mr oily, much appreciated.
