Looking at a 406 HDI tomorrow. How do I tell if it is a 90 or 110?
Any simple ways of telling?
Anything to look out for on a 2001 estate hdi (has all electrics (inc seats), 130k full history.
Thanks for your help.

On some 406`s there is a sticker on the drivers door pillar stating words alomg the lines of "2.0 HDI 90",or "110".The other way is to lift the bonnet & look for the intercooler/i.c pipe. The intercooler is on the passenger side beside the radiator. With a black pipe between the plastic engine top cover & air filter housing.Have a look at the pics under the bonnet on the Xantia 90 bhp.http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... hp?t=20902
Theres no pipe between the cover & airbox, see? There were some pics on here showing the 90 & 110bhp engines with & without the i.cooler pipe.
Happy hunting & xmas
