A discussion at work re colleague with a Fiat and handbrake operating to rear discs requiring specific tool push pistons in. Having done this on two Xantias using a piece of bar to rotate clockwise when pushing piston back in, as instructed by Haines, I added my piece.
The discussion changed to what is the principle of the lever in caliper -
does the lever apply it's pressure onto piston to operate and is this why a rotation is req'd to push piston back in? Any info greatly appreciated.
Thanks Malcolm
