Post by Daveyb »

my heater /aircon blower does not blow as hard as my daughters in the same type of vehicle she seems to have another 2 power levels on hers even though we have the same settings.IE my fastest blow is equivalent to two settings below on hers. are the blowers going west can they be repaired.

If its the same blower that the Xantia uses, when its on full it has the max 12 volts across it so it should be the same speed as any other of the same type. Its unusual for it to develop a fault that makes it run slow unless something is mechanically fouling it, then you would hear a noise of some sort. They usually either work or dont!

Could it be a very blocked pollen/cabin filter restricting air flow.I know from past experience on my Xantia when the filter needed changing or was particuly dirty,it made alot of difference. :)

yes definatly check out the pollen filter, the one on mine was hardly pushing out any air and when i checked the pollen filter it was completely blocked so much so that i had difficulty in getting the old one out. :D
