There is a small leak coming from the valve thet the sphere screws onto at the front of the engine. I want to replace the valve and renew the LHM fluid.
How do I drain the fluid and will the brakes need bleeding when topping back up. If so, is it the normal procedure because I heard that the system is self bleeding.
I still haven't got blower motor working yet, but that's the least of my problems

The "valve" that you refer to is the pressure regulator. Why do you want to replace that ? Unless its faulty theres no reason to.
The leak should be relatively easy to sort out. It could be a leak around the base of the sphere due to a missing or improperly fitted seal, or could be one of the steel pipes leaking due to not being seated or tightened properly. (Or the rubber return hose at the bottom)
I'd start by thoroughly cleaning the outside of it and then keep an eye on it to see exactly where it starts freshly leaking from, and take it from there.

Simon
