16v VSX Cluch Says Goodnight

Hi Folks,
I had just left Cwmbran shopping centre yesterday, when a twang was heard, with an immediate clutch pedal to floor effect. I thought " Clip ", so got car home. Had a look up under dash---clip intact. Oh. Tool air filter box off, to check if cable busted. Cable fine. I had a look at clutch lever from bellhousing---going from end to end of its movement. :(
The clutch was getting very juddery up to that point---noticed it for a week or so. So it looks as if either thrust has gone or the pressure plate that has gone walkies. Either way car is off road for a while, a good while. GSF want £115, Citroen want £240+ :cry:
I will have to forfeit 3 weeks tax to get my TD Xant on the road. Bummer. :oops:

Thrust race has probably pulled through the diaphragm, still it will have a nice light clutch when you put the new one in :)

Hi Stewart,
Once new clutch is in there, car will be sold---too complicated for my budget. My TD is just a bog standard Lx---simpler to use and maintain.
