C5 reversing light switch

Title says it all really..... The reversing light fuse keeps blowing

and I'd like to check the wires leading to the reversing light switch. The car is a 2 litre Hdi with 5 speed manual box.

does it blow when reverse is engaged or when the ignition is switched on ?
do you have a towbar with twin electrics ?

When I got the car back from having the clutch changed-the fuse was blown. I replaced it, and it was fine for nearly three months, then it blew again. I popped another new one in, and this one blew too. Symptoms are when you engage reverse, the reversing lights come on and it makes that stupid *bing* noise. Next time you try reverse, its blown.
The car does have a towbar, with single electrics but I can't see that causing the problem, it only happens when you engage reverse. I could take the car back to the garage of course, but if I can poke around and fix it myself that's what I'd rather do.
