Whilst probing around under the bonnet looking for causes of my starting problem earlier today I found a small rubber hose hanging loose. It comes from the front of the fuel filter - between the two electrical connections - but where does it go to?

Anyone fancy popping out to their car to take a look for me?

Its meant to be like that. Its the drain tube so that you can drain off water and dirty fuel without getting it inside the starter.

yep its also usfull to drain the filter down before fitting a new one
