Hi,
Living in southamerica, and having limited access to quality non-original spheres, I want to try and refill originals.
I read the archives and there is a lot of info on recharging kits that no longer are sold.
Is there any recharging kit still for sale?
Thanks.

There's a german or dutch Ds club that lists a kit IIRC
- can't find it at the moment.

Hello. Jeremy you are not alone I have replaced 2 acumulators and neither lasted more than 18 months and they were new, not regassed. Not genuine Citroen but well known make. I wonder if there is a reason for this? The regulator pressures etc. are correct. Any thoughts anyone?
Cheers.
Geoff.

Well I replaced my accumulator sphere 18 months ago when I first got the car, (the old one was down to 20 bars) and its still fine!!
I can switch the car off, wait 10 minutes, sit in the boot and it will lift me back to normal height quite happily...
Genuine Citroen sphere though! (3rd party ones aren't generally available here in NZ as far as I'm aware, its either genuine, or get them regassed, and I wouldn't bother to regass accumulators)
Because the accumulator sphere is under the most strain (running at full system pressure all the time) even if you regass or use 3rd party for suspension spheres, I'd still go for genuine for the accumulator as it is your main source of emergency braking....(and theres not much price difference at places like GSF anyway!)
Regards,
Simon

Re: Sphere recharging kits stil avaliable?
Given the cost of recharging equipment - wold it not be cheaper to have some spheres posted to you after all spheres are about £20 / each new?ekaftan wrote:Hi,

Re: Sphere recharging kits stil avaliable?
I am now buying just the valves and trying to make my own recharging valve... If it fails, I'll buy the recharging equipment. It will replay itself in no time with two VSX XantiasFather Ted wrote:Given the cost of recharging equipment - wold it not be cheaper to have some spheres posted to you after all spheres are about £20 / each new?ekaftan wrote:Hi,
