radius arm/hub question xantia hdi

Post by icedillon »

Is the above same for mk1 and mk2's along with the engine variants?

I have a 2000W hdi hatch and the rear driver side needs changing cos it snapped. I have located one but the scrapper says it is an earlier one and it has abs like mine. Whats the liklihood of it fitting correctly?

Also, is the skid light on the dash the abs light? or is it anti skid control?

How easy are the radius arms with the hub to replace? does the sphere unit come out with it also?

thanks in advance

The only difference as far as I know could be in the ABS pulse generator disc. One earlier cars they had a different number of teeth according to the make of ABS. I wouldn't think there would any major mechanical differences. Just count the teeth.

yes i think the rear arm is the same as long as it has ABS,the light on the dash you mention is the ABS warning lamp,i would strongly advise you to thouraly check your rear arm mounting point,as i belive it is very posible you could have bent the subframe at this point
