HELP problem with Xantia slider controls

HELP problem with Xantia slider controls

wonder if anyone knows waht this could be. I have a 96 Xantia 1.9 TD with aircon. The slider control on the demister to cold inlet to car slider has stuck on the windscreen bit, ie to the right. Air con works fine but air does not go to screen. It goes to front vents, bottom fron car vents on gearbox tunnel.

I have taken the front off to have a look. It appears the cog will not move when you try to move the slider to the left. Have no idea what has caused this it just appears to be stuck! Cables are in place as well.

Can anyone suggest what could cause that?

Slider Controls

My VSX did the same thing the main cog which controls it all was damaged
so nip down the breakers and buy a replacement. Easy to fit and worth it now winter is approaching.

Hi have a look to see if the lever has jumped some cogs. Mine jumped out of place when i changed the bulbs, maybe a previous owner did the same. regards john.
