xantia seat swop

i've got the chance of an interior, seats and door cards from a mk 2 xantia estate and what i need to know is will this fit a mark 1 xantia estate :)

The front door cards are not compatable due to totally different fitting points on MK 1 and MK 2's.

Also take a close look at the rear belts, on saloons the belt clips were recessed into the seat but longer/fixed to the surface on MK 2's, I'm not 100% sure on estates although you can interchange the belts if necessary.

The seats themselves will fit. MK 2 seats are fitted with integral airbags, just leave those disconnected.

i'll have a look at the weekend then, i must admit i never thought about the seat belt fixing, only reason i want to change them is that mine have some kind of brushed suede material on them and it wears realy badly and i've got a few holes appearing on the drivers seat :)

Dave did I speak to you at the Stratford Rally, red 2.1td estate?

The 'suede material' is called Alcantara by the way.

no mate, wasn't me i do have a 2.1td estate but it's green and i'm from up north ....durham

Not all Mk2 seats have air bags fitted. Mine is a 1998 SX and it does not have them in the seats.

this one definatly has air bags fitted the car is 2000 plate lx, does anyone know if there is much of a deference in the quality of the seats between a lx and an sx model :)
